Finally, the news you have all been waiting for…

…or perhaps you didn’t know I had news.

But I do. That was what my very weak countdown was counting down.

Very weak.

Ok. Ok. I’ll tell you.

Drumroll please…..

I AM A NEW HOME OWNER

That’s right! I bought a house. I got the keys on April 15, 2010.

Well, actually, the bank owns it and I owe them my first born child.

But let’s pretend.

Yep, I thought it was about time I purchased.

I have lived on my own before, but that was for school. Out of school, I have always lived with the parents. There is absolutely NO reason to rent if I live locally. As opposed to other families who’s children leave the house precisely at 18, it’s basically disrespectful to do that in our culture. Why pay someone else to live in their house when the parents are around? No matter how old you are. Yes, I am 28.

Besides, my new home is a good 4 minutes away from the parents.

But now I have the mortgage and the whole nine yards.

Details: It’s a new building, so I’m grandfathered in (I can rent it out for the rest of my life, or as long as I own it). It’s a condo. My suite is the top floor penthouse suite, which is the fourth floor. I have two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, two balconies, hardwood floors and granite counters. And a view of the mountains. And of course, in suite laundry. It’s not the biggest place, but it’s not the smallest either. It’s perfect and I’m fond of it.

I do not have pictures yet. I will give this iPhone sneak peek and then when I’m all settled in, get my sister to take nice pictures. Don’t worry, I hope that will be soon. (Please excuse the mess)

Well, there you have it. Another chapter opened in my life. God is gracious. Without Him, nothing is possible. And definitely, this would not have been possible.

GOD IS GOOD!

19But my God shall supply all your needs

according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20

Jumped high to land on the bandwagon.

3gs

I have…. bitten the bullet and gotten the new iPhone. Well, not new per se, but new to me. I have wanted one for some time, but never had the money. Don’t actually have the money now, but whatever…sigh… But I got it regardless, because:

1. I was in need of a new phone. My LG VU got stolen, and my two Nokias both started doing this weird stalling thing. At the same time. It is quite annoying in the middle of a conversation.
2. I need constant access to email for two jobs – My job as an actress, to check for auditions and messages from my agent and for my new part-time job as a debit machine technician. Nope, I’m not joking. Pretty soon, I will be replacing debit machines and sending them out for servicing. One gets their appointments by email. It’s the easiest way.
3. I have wanted one since they came out. But I am not one to spend large amounts of money easily, so I waited.

The thing is, I completely misunderstood my cellphone provider upgrade policy. And I almost waited until next year. I thought that I was ineligible for any type of upgrade until the two year deadline. Therefore, I thought I would have to pay the full 8 billion 6 hundred of so dollars for the phone if I wanted it now. And I didn’t want it that much. Little did I know, that one can upgrade after one year, however, it’s not fully… subsidized I guess is a word to use. So, instead of paying one price next year, I paid a little bit more this year.

My bank account is crying right now.

But I’m happy…until I see the bank account.

Sigh.

Who else has an iPhone out there (everybody and their mom, I know)?

And any suggestions on cool FREE apps? I heard that is the thing to do…
